The five-star quality of the Halcyon Beach resort in Saint Lucia, the phenomenally conscientious staff and beauty of the location provided a peaceful, relaxing and stunningly romantic backdrop for us to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary! It was everything we dreamed of and more! The moment we arrived the Halcyon resort staff ensured our every desire and need was met. We opted for a butler and so glad we did. He made all the difference in the world! We didn’t know what to expect and Maverick, our butler, was exceptional and the key reason we will vacation again at the Saint Lucia Halcyon Beach resort. His efforts transcend that of a butler and are far closer to a Halcyon Beach resort ambassador. His personalized approach, genuine concern for us, attention to every detail and efforts to ensure that we experienced the fullness of every good thing at the Halcyon Beach resort was an answer to our prayers and made him our friend in the end. We made new friends with local Saint Lucian’s and other couples, browsed in local shops, floated down the longest swimming pool in the world, sailed on Hobie Cats, paddle boarded and snorkeled in the Caribbean ocean, enjoyed breakfast delivered each morning to the patio of our suite, relaxed in our own personal pool at night, and dined at several five-star restaurants, Our overall experience at the Halcyon resort provided memories we will forever cherish. We will definitely be back!!
St. Lucia was such a beautiful place to be married, the staff and wedding team was wonderful, we can't thank Shandulla, Dilan, Gibson, Tayo and Nurcia for helping with our beach wedding and especially Lana whom took the most beautiful pictures that we could ask for. St. Lucia will be part of our hearts and we can't wait to come back in for our second anniversary.
Excellent accommodations, special thanks to Neville the grounds keeping manager for a garden tour and talk.
We recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the Halcyon Beach resort in Saint Lucia. It was EXACTLY what we were looking for! The accommodations at the Halcyon were excellent, the grounds immaculate, the food fantastic, and the staff was exceptional. We opted for the helicopter transfer (my wife gets motion sickness when driving) and the views were worth the price of admission! From the minute we arrived on the grounds we were pampered. From the check-in glass of champagne and cold towel (it was HOT) to the bartenders, watersports staff and service personnel, we were always greeted with a warm smile. Whenever we asked for anything the response was "No Worries, No Problem". We loved taking the Hobie Cat's out on the sea! I took advantage of the scuba training and went on 1 dive. We only did one excursion and would recommend the Joe Knows tour (land & sea). The guides were entertaining and the activities were worth it. The lunch was very good and the views of the Pitons was breath taking. We especially enjoyed the snorkeling. The slow boat ride home (music and rum punch) was "entertaining." We got to meet a bunch of other couples that we ran into throughout the week. Halcyon is a much quieter resort than the Grand or La Toc. If your looking for lots of activities and a big social atmosphere than I'd recommend one of the other resorts. If you're looking for a quiet place to relax with your sweetheart than the Halcyon is the place for you! The food was really good and we dined at Kelly's twice and Mario's twice. Kimino's was a unique experience that you should definitely reserve when you arrive (requires reservations). Be sure to order the "Bob Marley" while at the Halcyon (you can't get it at the other resorts). We took day trips to the Grand and La Toc and although their pools were awesome, they were much more crowded and the staff didn't seem quite as friendly as at the Halcyon. Plus, you're kinda living out of a day-bag you packed and are limited to the shuttles that leave for your resort about every two hours so you have to plan ahead to know when it's time to leave to get back for dinner (since your in your swim suite and can't really change easily into evening attire). We hiked up Pigeon Island ($7 USD) which was a nice break. I've never had a bad experience with Sandals and we booked our next years stay.
Beautiful resort, friendly personnel, an experience above our expectations. Special thanks and congratulations to Marco and Parandam, the chef & sous-chef at Mario's restaurant who made our dining experience an unforgettable moment. A must when dining in Halcyon.
Funtastic, relaxing and overall perfect.See you again in 2011
