This was the first opportunity of my husband and I to get away to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, and it was all made perfect at the Sandals Royal Caribbean by their incredible staff - Especially Junior - Assistant Manager of Food and Beverages, Kate from Sales, and Jessica/ super waitress and Rory - Sales! This visit marked our 104th paid nights at Sandals Resorts and we were treated Royally! Thank you, and we can't wait to return!!
My husband and I stayed at the Royal Caribbean Resort in Montego Bay Jamaica for our honeymoon in November. We had a luxury honeymoon suite with butler service. This was our first trip to a sandals resort and our very first trip out of the country. Upon arriving at the airport in Jamaica, we were escorted to the Sandals lounge and were greeted with the friendliest individuals we have ever met. The shuttle ride took no longer than 10 minutes, and the staff on the shuttle kept us entertained while we were on board. Once we arrived at the resort, we were taken into the "Club Sandals" room while we waited for our room to be prepared and for our butler to come get us. We had 2 butlers during our 5 day stay. Monique was with us for one day - and she was very helpful and nice. Sherry Ann was with us for the remainder of our stay - and we absolutely adored her. She went above and beyond the call of duty. At the main pool, there are 2 bartenders that kept us laughing - Kevoun and Tremaine. Although, Kevoun was there everyday - and we had a blast with him. He even remembered our names every day! HE IS AWESOME! Warren was definitely entertaining at the main pool. He is great at getting guests engaged with dancing and games. He was even dancing and got int the pool a couple of times! This resort has a private island - which is very nice if you are looking for a place a bit more quiet or intimate. The bartender on the island is Owen. He is polite and professional. The jerk shack is on the island and it is delicious! Actually, all the food that we had while on the resort was phenomenal!!! We took a day trip to the Montego Bay resort near the airport - and we were not impressed. It is definitely geared towards a younger crowd. It is also very loud - since it backs to the airport. The only thing worth mentioning about this resort is that we saw Guy Fieri there when we went! (The shuttle staff told the guests that the MB resort was known for being the "party" resort, and know we understand why.) The Royal Caribbean resort is much nicer, more relaxing, beautifully landscaped and everyone is always pleasant. We enjoyed our stay and we plan to go back. Truth be told, we were sad to leave. Not only because the place is beautiful, but the staff kinda grow on you! Its true when they say that when you are there you kinda become family. I would highly recommend this resort!!!! :)
I would like to start off by saying we are Sandals Select Reward Members, this was our 7th stay at a sandals and our first time to Royal Caribbean, it was the most amazing place ever! We decided to get married here based on reviews we have seen about other weddings at this resort! From our wedding planner over the phone, Naomi, to our wedding coordinator at the resort, Shanique, everything was absolutely amazing! Shanique was the best person I could have ever asked/imagine to have take care of us when at the resort, she really listened to everything we asked for and she made us feel like we were the only people that mattered! When we decide to retire the knot in 5-10 years from now we will be back here to do it again and request Shanique bc hands down she is amazing. We got married on a pier that goes into the water, then cocktail hour on the beach and then the reception in the gardens, everything was beautiful! Our guests continue to say that this was the best wedding they ever been to, we had the time of our lives to the point that another wedding party came over to join us because our wedding was so fun! After the wedding we went back to the room which was absolutely amazing and decorated to make us feel special, then shanique surprised us the next day with a beautiful dinner by the water and gifts for us to take home! I absolutely love her and the service provided! This resort was the perfect size, not too big and not too small and we were able to see our guests staying there as well as still be able to have our alone time! The staff all over the resort is amazing and they really make you feel good being there! Food was amazing, close to the other 2 resorts if you want to visit them , just all and all everything was perfect, amazing and one of the best weeks of our lives! We are so grateful for the amazing time we had and being able to have the best memories!
My husband and I went to Sandals Montego Bay for our honeymoon in July 2014 and chose Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort for our first anniversary celebration this year. Both Sandals experiences have been amazing! As we are both professionals in the management field we have very high standards and Sandals exceeds our expectations for customer service and quality. Sandals is truly top notch in every way and presents a very classy and sophisticated environment - the grounds are clean and perfectly manicured, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the service is superb. The staff members are very professional, polite and friendly and will do whatever they can to ensure our needs are met. The guests are all ages - from early 20's to 70's - so everyone fits in and most seem to be working professionals enjoying some time away from the rat race. Sandals offers a tremendous amount of activities and entertainment and everything is truly included. We plan to return every year on our anniversary and have already booked next year's trip!
From the moment we arrived in Montego Bay we were treated like royalty by the Sandals crew. We were guided to the Sandals Lounge at the airport as our bags were loaded into the free transport bus. Airport club had all sort of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as snacks. Bus crew handed out ice cold towels to cool us off. We had a club-level (concierge) ocean front suite (Kensington Cove) which made checking-in a breeze. We were escorted (bag-free - delivered directly to room) to the Club (which is a centralized concierge office stocked with all sorts of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks and is available via key entry to all club guests 24/7). Best Bar Tender - Rohan at the pool bar. Delicious drinks, great personality, entertaining bottle tricks Best Waitress - Kemesha Grant - sweetest personality, beyond attentive, professional, kind Best Club Employee - Kirkland Smith - made our experience so much more special! The personal attention, above and beyond efforts to make our stay perfect, assistance with everything and anything possible. Best Play Maker (Activity Director) - Suave - so much fun, personable, entertaining... cannot imagine having so much energy. Goes out of his way to relate to the guests you would think you were the most special person there, and it's done for everyone. It takes a special individual to hold this position. From singing on stage, to getting right in the mix of pool volley ball, Suave will be a big part of your Sandals Royal experience. Foods - Duck & Lamb in Le Jardinier - the chefs are awesome if you ask for off the menu dishes they are almost always accomodating. Green Curry dishes at Royal Thai Excursions - Deep Sea fishing directly from Sandals - we caught two huge Mahi Mahi, brought fish back to the resort and were treated to the most AMAZING (included) dishes from OUR fish by Chef Anthony! They came to our table, felt out our tastes and prepared 3 totally different Mahi Mahi dishes for our sampling. FANTASTIC!!! Scuba is included so it's not an excursion but I urge you to take advantage. If you aren't certified they will set you up for $80 on the property... worth it! Overall this trip at Sandals Royal was one of my favorite experiences from the beaches, to the drinks, to the AMAZING STAFF. I will be back and strongly encourage you to give them a chance.
My wife and I along with 3 other couples spent one of the greatest vacations of my life at Sandals Royal Carribean. I am sure you could pay for higher class rooms and food if you wanted to but your could not find or purchase better staff than at Sandals Royal Carribean and Montego Bay. All of us were treated like royality and the staff were fun to be around. Dezreen and Kirkland are the best along with: Shanque, Janice, Jevion, Oshane, Veletine, Tobian,Alicia, Kevin Burch, Mauvlette, Dionnee, Rushell, Rogane, Odane, Cion, Petra Gae, Cassandra and Erwin at Oleander Montego Bay,and so many I don't have space to write. First vacation in 38 years my wife was not ready to go home.
